Legal Secretary - Barrister Chinemelu Andrew Nwaizugbe

Barr. Nwaizugbe Chinemelu graduated with honours from the University of Nigeria (U.N.N) in 1998. After the one year law school programme, he did his mandatory one year youth service at the Pipelines Marketing and Production Company (PPMC) Abuja, Nigeria.

He gained valuable insight into areas of Energy law. He is now a senior associate in the law firm of Johnson & Wilner, a reputable firm with specialty in information technology law, investment & telecoms law.

Barr Nwaizugbe also had a stint at the law chambers of late Chief Philip Umeadi (S.A.N). At Johnson &Wilner, he has also been responsible for but not limited to the following: the drafting of the interconnectivity agreement between GLOBACOM (one of the GSM service providers in Nigeria) and Startech, an indigenous private telecoms operator. He was also involved in the drawing up of the National policy on Information Technology and critical information protection law, as the representative of Johnson &Wilner, legal advisers to NITDA (National Information Technology Development Agency).

His brief has also included the putting together the framework for the establishment of the National e-govt Strategies limited, a Public /private partnership between the Federal govt of Nigeria and private companies, to serve as the vehicle for the establishment and entrenchment of electronic governance practices across the various tiers and facets of government.
