Patron’s Statement

Welcome to the website of the Alex Ekwueme Foundation.

The Foundation was established to promote peace and democracy, education, health, poverty eradication  and service to humanity.

All these are ideals which I have personally considered a vital tool for the development of any society and for which I have worked hard to uphold in Nigeria.

The Foundation works through partnership with institutions, governments, businesses, international organisation, other non governmental organisations, other foundations and private individuals.

It is expected that these collaboration would develop program that leverage the resources (human and material) of all parties and turn the work of the Foundation into good measure for the benefit of mankind.

To accomplish its objectives, the Alex Ekwueme Foundation has made commitment to work towards the promotion of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The work of the Foundation would be focussed in the areas of universal education, eradication of extreme poverty and hunger, maternal and child health including combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases.

It is expected that the advancement of these objectives would help to create a better and more peaceful world. The Foundation would develop global partnership with relevant international agencies and organisations toward the achievement of its objectives.

I wish to personally enjoin all my friends and associates worldwide to help in the mobilisation of support and goodwill towards the work of the Foundation.
