Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Saad Abubakar III, has identified dialogue as the best way to achieve peace and stability in the world.
He noted that crisis and terrorism in the world today can be minimised to its barest minimum if parties to conflict engage in dialogue.

He commended the British parliamentarian for his visit to sokoto which he described as fruitful and aimed at enhancing cooperation between muslims in Nigeria and those in the United Kingdom.
In his remarks, the British lawmaker who had earlier delivered a lecture organized by the Centre for Peace Studies at Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, called for more efforts in promoting harmonious co-existence and peace between Muslims and Christians .
He stressed the need for mutual understanding among the followers of the two religions all over the world, just as he urged Islamic preachers and Imams to acquire education and have knowledge of comparative religion.
